Lori B. Achee Announces Candidacy for Pointe Coupee Parish
Clerk of Court
I am announcing my candidacy for the office
of Pointe Coupee Parish Clerk of Court. The election is scheduled for October
20, 2007.
My 18 ½
years of work experience in the Clerk of Court’s office qualifies me for this parish position. I have also worked for a local parish attorney. I am now self-employed as a statewide Certified Court Reporter. My
past work experiences have allowed me to work side-by-side with the public, attorneys, elected officials, and government and
state entities.
My goal, if elected, will be to serve the
citizens of Pointe Coupee Parish; to work closely with the attorneys and judges; be devoted and available to all citizens;
to continue to update and preserve the very important documents of our parish
and to make the office of Clerk of Court available by computer access on-line. I
pledge to keep this office open and available to everyone.
I am a life-long resident of Pointe Coupee
Parish and reside in Livonia. I am married to James Achee and have three children,
Brandon Achee and his wife Jessica (Dees), Kristen Achee and T. J. Achee. I am
the daughter of Josephine Bizette of Lakeland and the late Milton "Bee" Bizette.
During the upcoming months and leading
into 2007, I plan to visit all the residents of the parish. Your support and
consideration for allowing me to become the Clerk of Court of Pointe Coupee Parish in 2007 will be greatly appreciated.
